Chili Cook-Off Rules & Entry Form
Rules:
1. Participants may enter as team or individual.
2. Only one type of chili per entry.
3. $25 entry fee must be submitted with attached form no later than January 14, 2010.
4. Chili must be prepared from scratch on site. “Scratch” is defined as starting with raw meat. No marinating allowed. Chili powder is permissible, but chili mixes are not.
5. Contestants are responsible for providing their own burners or cookers. Electricity is limited and not available to contestants. Contestants will be provided with a table, two chairs, and a tent. Spoons and cups to serve chili in for judging will be provided. Any other materials required must be provided by contestant.
6. A minimum of 4 quarts must be prepared by each participant.
7. Contestants can start setting up at 830 AM. Cooking will begin after inspection by staff. Judging will begin at 1 PM. Judging will be voted by the public via ballot. Winners will be announced about 3PM.
8. Prizes include:
1st Place - $100
2nd Place - $50
3rd Place - $25
